Schëppe Siwen will perform at the 48th edition of Folkest – International Folk Music Festival, one of Europe’s most established festivals dedicated to folk and world music. Since its origins in the late 1970s, Folkest has stood for cultural exchange across borders, bringing together musical traditions from all over the world.
The 2026 edition carries particular significance, reflecting on the festival’s roots as a cultural response to the 1976 earthquake in Friuli. To this day, Folkest embraces music as a tool for memory, renewal, and dialogue between cultures.
